Hi

I am proud to be owned by two gorgeous chinchillas. 1 male beige 10 months and 1 male standard grey 14 months.

I am at the moment going through the introduction stage with them, which up to date is going well. They have lived happily
side by side for a few weeks now and I let them out together for the first time recently (in a neuteral area, away from their homes)
and this was very successful. They showed a little interest in each other, sniffing and going nose to nose but there has not been any
signs of fighting. They share a bath, as in one in one out and seem happy to do this. I have swapped a couple of toys around as well.
I now have my fingers crossed that this will continue for a while before I start to introduce them to each others homes for a couple of
hours, under observation.

I would welcome any advise you chinni lovers have to offer especially as I am new to introductions.

Thank you for the welcome.

I will add some photos soon but I am having problems working out how to
add them to the forum from photobucket. Just a senior moment I will hopefully
recover from.

Introduction has come to a hurdle, Charlie has decided he doesn't want to come
out to play at the moment, but I will persevere. I'm going on holiday next week
so they can live side by side for a while and I will start playtime again when I get
back, not ideal but perhaps the best thing to do. My daughter and grandson are looking
after the boys for me, so they will get plenty of attention and their routine wont change.

If anyone has any advice regarding introduction then it would be most welcome
as I am new to this.
