One of the ideas behind the creation of CHINformative was the introduction of a password protected section so that members can safely discuss issues, ideas, and topics which could be considered controversial or sensitive, or could become heated or are based on an individual's personal ethics/beliefs.
In order to provide a safe haven for discussion, passwords will be given to individuals on request (please PM an Admin) and the access to the section will be periodically reviewed and passwords changed.

Lurkers (those members who join the debate section but never post) will not have their passwords renewed unless they decide to contribute to the section - they will need to contact Admin about contributing in future. The reason for this decision is very simple - lurkers can (and do) make others feel "watched" and unsafe - this is unfair on those members who do contribute - we wish to discourage this and encourage open and honest discussion - regardless of experience and/or length of time keeping chinchillas!

We would encourage all members who have an interest in discussing the "thornier" or less discussed issues of chinchillas and chinchilla keeping to join the Debate section - everyone is welcome, all comments, thoughts and ideas are welcome. Everyone's opinion is valid and valued. Everyone has something to contribute - even if you don't think you have! If you've got a chinchilla or had a chinchilla then you're qualified to contribute. wink.gif

Please do come and join the discussion! smile.gif
