The committees of both regions have decided to do the same as last year and have both regional meetings on the same day.
This will be Sunday 25th April at Bugbrooke Community Centre, commencing at 11.00am.
Both regions will hold separate meetings and come together to discuss the new seasons shows and other activities.
We are calling it an interactive day, and if you have animals you would like assessed, with a view to breeding, or if you have questions you would like answered, do come along and take part. We are trying to get as many of you as possible to take an interest in the running of your region, and give you an interesting discussion outside of a chinchilla show. Our shows are always very busy, and there is never enough time to devote to specific issues. I’m sure many of you have questions you would like answers to, or points of view you would like to put forward. This meeting is your chance to have your say.
Please do your best to attend. There will be refreshments in the form of a buffet lunch, with hot and cold drinks available.
More information can be obtained from Lyn Gardner, Claire Davidson or Kerry Bradburn.
Please contact Claire Davidson via PM or email ([email protected]) if you would like to bring some chinchillas for assessment. We will be using the Appraisal Sheet from the Quality Guide & will be going through each animal's attributes in some detail. We will need to know approximate numbers so we would appreciate it if you could let Claire know in good time.
Chinchillas will need to be groomed (help will be on-hand if needed) & in a show cage (if you wish to borrow a show cage please let us know) so that the animals can be appraised.
This is a great opportunity to get alongside a judge & appraise some chins with them; discussing the whys & wherefores of assessing the chins in front of you. It is also an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of how the terminology used on the show bench relates to the animals "in the fur" & to ask lots of questions.

Please note: The time for the start of the West Midlands/Wales Region AGM in this month's Gazette contains a slight misprint (2pm).
    BOTH AGMs start at 11am.
